Suppose that you play 21 one point games and whoever wins more wins that match. Your same logic would show that an error in the first game is much more costly than an error in the last game at dmp. But every game counts equally to the score.

A related point to ponder:

Every 25-point match has a 0-0 game. How many have a DMP game?
