Another take - playing with numbers

Average total attendance at an ABT tournament is about 86.
If we could convince the 40 players who attend 6 or more tournaments per year to attend one more tournament per year, that average would go up to about 88.
Or, if we could convince the 309 players who attend about 1 tournament a year to attend 2 a year, that average would go up to about 101.
Or, if we could convince half of the 616 players who have only attended 1 tournament in the last 3 and 1/2 years to attend just one more additional tournament this year, that average would also go up to about 101.
Or, if we could convince 1 in 100,000 of the 313,706,278 Americans who haven't been to an ABT tournament in the last four years to attend one this year, that average would go up to about 243.
If there were 22 tournaments per year instead of 20, with no increase in total player attendance, that average would go down to about 78.
But if each of those 2 extra tournaments could attract 40 current or new players as an additional tournament, the average would be about 82. Less than 86, but only by a little.
But suppose some of those 80 players were new players, and some of them liked it so much they kept coming ....
