I doubt that.

A position can be very complex (for example, with each player having lots of checkers in the opponent's home board); then almost any roll and checker play will leave the position still very complex.

And a last roll position (for example, either complete your bear off or your opponent with one checker on ace point wins) is simple but very volatile.
