Also, this week I finally got around to reading Michael Konik's The Man with the $100,000 Breasts. Courtesy of the famous backgammon player "JoBo." Brian Zembic's $100,000, that is, not my reading about them. Anyway, from the chapter on Bob Hamman:
"If we estimate something has a ten percent chance of occurring and the real chance is twenty percent, it's not going to kill us. It's when we're just plain wrong that hurts."Which is just to say that as important as correcting small, recurring errors are, time spent correcting bad thinking that leads to huge mistakes should be time well spent.
