Occasionally, I lend people small sums of money. Like you, I don't ask for the money back. However, it doesn't bother me if they don't pay back the money.

If it bothers you to not get paid, then I think you should at least ask once before getting mad and "cutting them out of your life." The passive-aggressive attitude you have here is a common one, but it strikes me as immature. Basically you demand that other people behave in a certain way towards you, without telling them, and then retaliate with the silent treatment when they fail to meet your standards. Nobody benefits from this.
