1.Someone with cash is always most welcome in my view. He (or preferably she) will help to promote the game and raise money to fund science sustaining the game. If some genius doesn't have enough money to be at the top, he may try to find some sponsors, who believe in his abilities and then he can take on the rich fish.
2.The issue with the modalities has ofc yet to be determined. I thought a best of 3, 11-pointers is something to start with. You could say best of 5, 21-pointers. The point is not to kill the action. It should be interesting and exciting to watch. 3.How comes the poker world gets many celebrities at the felt, but we have lost them all. I am not the first one to mention it, however, me too thinks the bots have been extremely successful in pushing our game towards extinction. I know you try hard to improve and I do it, too, as much as my other interests can bear. But we simply need more action. This PR based VR tournaments are good for the AI community maybe but not for the game. 4. I think all bots should be allowed to challenge the humans. Let's see if any rich guy dares to challenge XG, GNU, etc. Let's see if XG challenges Snowie. I think, no-one can answer the question if XG excels GNU, better than the developers themselves. The point is: No one is obliged to play anyone. Just give up your ranking and you are safe. 5.Please don't tell me, I am contradicting myself. I want the bots in and I want the fish in. All in sake of the game. Not is sake of cash and not in sake of AI. We need them both.
