For the record I NEVER cheat online (or live).

If I win money fair and square, then I feel entitled to getting what I won from the loser. Since I feel entitled, I don't feel shy about asking if I don't get paid.

However, if - hypothetically - I had cheated and won some money which I was being owed, then I would for sure feel less entitled to get what I won.

Perhaps this is the point David is trying to make.
