More Ramblings

I read the link of opening recommendations a couple of years ago if memory serves, and I made an ugly comment online about it (perhaps Kit's site?), if memory serves I used the word unethical to describe advocating 62 as a running play, and several players righly pounced on me for it.
I still think that running with 62 is a horrible play, but unethical implies I can read his thoughts, which I can't, and so I am sorry for those words. Perhaps he was simply being stupid. Going to your site just now I see it is 0.023 behind, which might be recommendable to someone for 41 or something where the concept is acceptable but the rollout numbers don't quite work for (I usually slot with 41 even though your numbers show it to be vaguely to moderately wrong, depending on bot, and depending on your definition of moderately, such as 0.023!). But to recommend something like 24/16 with 62 as being equivalent to 24/18 13/11 is seriously steering beginners the wrong way because it is unthematic for an opening play, and is illogical, and is inexplicable to me.
I realize that the equity for 41 is the same as one of your bots as 62, but I can justify the more complicated play as giving me an edge and as being more intersting to play. I just can't get around telling a beginner to "play safe" (I know its not safe, but that isn't the issue) with a well known inferior move in the opening.
