I think the backgammon community is extraordinarily fortunate to have this forum.

Quite simply you have so many of the best players in the world willing and able to offer help and views to anyone who posts. Not only do you have these Giants but you also have an army of very strong players too who post and give invaluable insights to both their peers and less strong players wanting to learn and improve their game.

Some of us intermediates don’t bore the community with saying thank you after every post that gets a reply but can I just say that we are very grateful for all the helpful replies we get.

I suspect that there are not many other games where so many of the game’s elite share their knowledge so freely and so readily with the community as a whole.

Stick – this is a great forum – and if you ever think we may just take it for granted please be assured that we don’t!
