We have discussed this before, and I guess we will never agree, but I don't like the idea of the dice being allowed to land one on each side of the bar. There is no serious upside to this--how often does it even happen in the normal course of a match? But the downside is that a cheat could more easily hold back one die and set it on the number he wants over on his own side of the board, while drawing your eye away with the second die, which is sailing over the bar and then landing on your side. I have previously compared this to the way a bad party magician flips dimes to distract you while he uses the other hand to clumsily hide whatever is supposed to disappear, or fumbles around trying to produce what is supposed to appear. I doubt this would happen very often, but why leave the window open?
