What method (which bot, rollout or eval, etc.) did you use to come up with these numbers? Of course if a rollout I'll be sure to discount the results due to the statsig factor. :)

When I get my computers back up (we just moved -- I don't recommend it to anyone) I'll do some checking of my own. I suspect the bigger problem is the fact that in 1996 bots weren't doing cubeful rollouts. A second issue is simply misplay of some positions due to bot weakness (0-ply) even during an R/O.

At least we agree this is still a very good book.
