You have an auto recube. GNU 3-ply sees this, so it is always redoubling next turn if you don't double now for some reason. GNU 1-ply does not do this, it uses a formula to make a projection of the added value of the cube access if you don't recube now. But this formula underestimates the true value of the auto recube.
