More OT - Olympics -- ...Mr. Phelps, should you choose to accept it...

In Response To: OT - Olympics - Table Tennis (Stick)

Some (especially NBC TV who is telecasting exclusively in US) have been trying to make a big deal of the Ryan Lochte vs. Michael Phelps rivalry in the pool. For those who haven't seen/heard (probably meaning those who don't care), not only did Lochte win the 400 Individual Medley final convincingly, but Phelps didn't even medal, breaking a 16 (10x individual and 6x relay) personal event streak. He finished 4th and the kick we expect from him was completely absent.

In any sport it's painful to watch a champion/legend go out defeated and broken. There are literally only days left in his swimming career. IMO, the big drama now is Phelps vs. Phelps. And I'm pretty sure he knows it.
