Gammon danger is small enough that we don't have to yet concern ourselves with getting checkers in quickly. Let's set up for (the admittedly) lucky hitting opportunities.

If we make our barpoint we're not going to like 6x next turn. If we slot the 2-point we'll have excellent chances to cover it next turn, even if we can hit a shot (and I see only opp's 66 that gives us the opportunity). If we could keep the barpoint for a while that might be different, but likely we can't keep it for long (enough).
