Moreover, both files look like JF .mat files, but the "Cannot Move" (instead of nothing) for dances is unusual. Gnubg doesn't handles this well :

Good point! the "Cannot Move" causes the fanning rolls to be blank in the move list in Gnubg. I don't think these words should appear in .mat format, but I wonder (1) can Snowie can handle it? and (2) is there an XG export format that doesn't use the offending words?
