Freddy Deeb won the event, so I assume the pros are ok with that? lol Fitoussi is also no slouch and I wouldn't put quotes around his name ;) As for John Hanson, the guy that finished 3rd... yes, he is a schmuck. As I'm sure you caught @ the final table, he kept sucking out & sucking out when he was all in and a 3-1 dog to even keep in it and he still finished 3rd. Hanson was the most embarrassing player at the final table IMNSHO.

For the rest of the top ten Kenny Tran is well known & respected, Singer has been around for a good while, knows the games (and made last year's HORSE FT), Greenstein, well, speaks for himself, Thor Hansen is also well known, been playing for two decades in the WSOP, has a couple bracelets, and even though I don't particularly think he's a great player, he seems to be the ITM man. Round it off with Gabe Kaplan and Dewey Tomko ... Gabe is a fish lost in a large pond but seems to find food once in a while, Tomko is a solid player.

There are a mass of pros, so maybe the biggest name pros didn't make it you're thinking of? But it's not like the FT was swamped with fish like the main event always is. Last year's final 10 were pimps & hos, with Jim Bechtel probably being the weakest link and he's still a very respectable player. Two years running, two pros have won it ... (Chip Reese won in '06)
