What do u expect him to say...?

I answer with what I expect him NOT to say. From Michael's page that he linked in his post that started this thread:

I have had several “names” in backgammon wishing to become involved in the organisation of the event and unfortunately when their involvement does not take place then the support from these people rapidly disappears and I am sad to see that is still the case in the game that there is no sense of community and desire to bring bigger and better events.

For that reason, I am also now no longer willing to look at organising any further events in backgammon, because despite having the experience, the perfect venue and all the right ingredients there just isn’t the interest. (emphasis mine)

IMO, everyone should have a list of warning signs that something that is said just doesn't quite measure up. One of mine is (paraphrased) "I did everything right and others did things wrong and that's why I didn't succeed."
