Thanks! Now I believe I understand what you mean (I'll check again tomorrow morning with a cup of coffee). The series of manipulations required to be carried out in the algolrithm cannot be patented if written on paper (including the purpose of the algolrithm), but if you computer code it, it can be patented?!

If that understanding is right, it is weird, because in many cases the computer coding of the algolrithm is tedious but not innovative.
