I'd like to thank Fuat Erdag for his effort in making software to run tournaments in this particular format, and for generously making it available for free (as I understand it).

This kind of attitude cannot be anything but a benefit for the BG community as a whole.

I can also understand Fuat's response to this thread - I'm afraid he got nothing wrong when reading the first responses.

Luckily the OT discussion about copyright and patents, and kind suggestions by some BGO readers to change the wording/understanding of certain posts, got everyone tuned in on the right target :-)

If it has any interest, the DBgF has many years experience in using several variations and enhancements to a system much similar to this. We even have combined in our ratingsystem to seed and make round pairings in this format.
