Thanks to Toby & Phil, Directors of the Golden Gate Open in SF

At the beginning and middle of this tournament I swore I would never run another tournament...it is so much work for so little, or no reward. By the end of the tournament and now, I see the reward....some people really appreciate your efforts and are kind enough to say "thank you."

It made me wonder if I had done this enough myself, so I sent an email to Bill Davis, Carol Cole, Pat Gibson, Steve Hast, Chiva, Joe Miller, Howard Markowitz. and, sorry if I forgot some, thanking them for the many great tournaments they have run over the years. Until you run one you have NO IDEA of the work and thought you must do to try to run a good, fair, fun event.

Because of people like you, who are a pleasure to work with and direct, and who care considerate enough to say "thanks" I look forward to directing or helping to direct more events in the future.
