RECOMMENDATION to all Open Players in Pittsburgh

Stick, if you play me in Pittsburgh we will use a clock whether you want to or not, because I pledge, in advance, to take 1 hour on every move. Now that the tournament director knows that, for the sake of the tournament he will put a clock on our match at the beginning.
The point is that you and I agree...we both think having a clock is fair, and my answer is to make sure we have a clock, not to abuse the people who have come to this tournament partially because they don't like clocks and this is someplace they can play. I wouldn't do that to someone who doesn't like a clock...it would be impolite, and I would only stall and play very slow against them if I saw that they were taking an excessive amount of time...and of course, then I would ask the tournament director to require a clock and leave it to him. But against you, it's another story. You would only play slow to teach everyone a lesson about not requiring a clock, and I'll be sure you don't do that to me!
