I agree... That pressure could also be evident in playing an online match being recorded, publicized afterwards and watched online by many players, as part of an international Grand Master tournament. People react to different kinds of pressure in different ways.

However, on this very matter, things are not exactly easy to deal with, when the person in question remains firm: "There is no such thing as pressure in backgammon, it is a game". (Quote is from my memory, but I think I'm pretty close).

Could it be, that statements like this (often put forward in a way that comes across borderline arrogant, as someone else said), makes a lot people think a bit more mathematical and direct, when considering Stick's numbers?
