I agree completely. For this reason I feel that clocks provide the weaker player an advantage over not using clocks. That's why I'm so pro-clock.
In fact I wasn't even originally planning to go to Pittsburgh since it was not clocks-preferred but I changed my mind since I had a trophy to pick up.
Now that I came home with two trophies instead of one I will return to Pittsburgh next year, clocks or no clocks.
Thanks to Steve Hast for running a great tourney. I like knowing what the start time for each round is, and it is clear that with the Swiss format only the best players will cash.
