Right here... this is it. Steve Hast, you're taking things way too personally. I've gone out of my way to say that the ONLY thing I'm taking issue with is the fact that you're not clocking all Open matches. I've said numerous times that I believe that you would run a great tournament, and nothing that I could tell from my armchair at home makes me believe otherwise. I didn't attend ONLY because of a deep seated personal preference, and NOT because of any lack of faith in your ability to run a great tournament. As I've said, I'm one guy. My lack of attendance is pretty much negligible to your attendance.

Why do I keep at this? Because it's really important for you to know how large the pro-clock contingent is. I think you have grossly underestimated the strength and conviction of belief of the pro-clock crowd. I want you to have a successful tournament for many years, and I believe one of the best moves you could make is to acquiesce to this growing tide. Don't let your tournament become extinct because you don't want to adapt to change. Backgammon is a moving, growing, evolving game, and this is the one that's already happened.
