Clocks in money game session?

Maybe the easiest thing to do is pay for the time you use. For example:
(a) Each player starts with five minutes of reserve time. When your reserve time hits zero, you must pay a fee* to your opponent for an additional five minutes of reserve time. Or,
(b) Each player starts with 50 minutes of reserve time and at the end of the session the player who used more time pays the difference to his opponent at an agreed rate.
I would like to make it as close as possible to the amount of time you get when you play a match.
* I'm not sure what rate corresponds best with match play time controls. You would want the cost per minute to depend on the stakes you're playing. I suggest a minimum of 1 point per minute because you're paying for the difference in time usage, not total time.
