Well SHG's red (improper) dice are random )given how I know they were generated. The problem is that they don't represent a pair of properly weighted 6 sided dice.

If someone were to play Backgammon with a pair of properly weighted 4 sided dice (faces numbered 1-4), they would be random (if properly thrown) but they aren't going to generate any 5's or 6's. You can still play Backgammon, but the probabilities of any particular roll will be different than what you'd expect from 6 sided dice.
