Hand recording while on the clock

Exactly, and that goes to show why it might be difficult to get people excited over a rule giving players the right to hand-note their own game.
When I record (other players) matches, I take note of moves they are "looking at" OtB, and I mark with ! as I feel during the game (plays that I find odd). I also note longer pauses with ? signs for every 20-30 seconds of thinking, to get recorded when people spend their time during a match.
A move could be: ?64:?
2*???14Meaning that the player considered doubling for about half a minute before rolling 64, then thought for half a minute, hit and made the two point, looked at it for more than a minute, then decided to run for the 14 point instead.
Between games, I take note of the score, the matchlenght, the time left (if clocked), and any breaks taken by a player.
All this information may be considered "too much" by the same people that would object to me writing the score as -17 -17.
I mean, i would help me profile my opponent (by taking note of the errors I feel the person makes), and it helps me to be alert of the time-aspect (by noting the remaining time inbetween games, and longer time spent on single dicisions during the game).

However, I feel - as JDK and Tom K, that it is OK to handrecord in a clocked game, and that it would be perfectly fine if people were to write the score as away points, to avoid confusion over matchlenght and Crawford game, etc.
I'm just saying, that not everyone agrees here, for different reasons - at least, that is what I have discovered when discussing this with conservative DBgF members.
