Weight of match length in tournament point system

Take a look at http://www.manchesterbridge.org.uk/bg/bgrules.html for our club system which seems to work quite well for evening tournaments. Square root of match length is roughly correct (it doesn't allow for the effect of the Crawford rule), but is rather complicated to implement.
