I cut my BG teeth from 1976-1982 more or less, playing intensely for stretches of time. I fancied that I could have been at the bottom of the top twenty toward the end of that period, but I might have overestimated myself, as so many have been prone to do. It wasn't until my years in New York in the late 80's at the Coterie that my game sharpened to the level I reached until I exited the game
