It appears that some are assuming this is a multiple choice quiz -- i.e. that there is a finite (and presumably small) list of candidates for each problem that are displayed to the participants. Is that the case? Of course there is a finite sized set of legal plays. Maybe that is what they mean.

It also seems that, judging from the responses, only the part you don't want to budge from is what is getting the interest. I would conclude from this that your scoring algorithm is otherwise receiving approval.
