Two-part problem

For the checker play I will choose 8/2 6/2 though I would not see it OTB. QF made me see it here. The 2 pt must be best because it brings the gammon closer as:
1) To win a gammon blue will need a close out and the 2 point is essential and the most difficult to make for the close out. 2) Blue has 12 in the zone and 2 more ready to come for the blitz. 3) If white enters at the 2 then his chances to play 1-2 rolls without being on the bar are higher and this would bring Blue's gammons down considerably.
Also I think that after making either the 2 or the 4pt white will eventually hit loose on his 5 the same amount of times. So there is not something to gain from there. I do not know the gammon price but it should be high enough to give a nice boost to gammon go plays. Finally I would not expect making the 2 point to loose many more single games than making the 4. The main features of the position (pip count and boards strength) do not change. Certainly white would be more trapped if he enters at the 2 instead of 4, but I cannot see it being that significant overall.
Finally sorry if with my previous post I made u post your rollout for your previous post earlier than u were planning. 3 many posts in the last sentence.
