David, as I try to point out in my first post in this thread, you would need the opposite to avoid someone loosing due to a cocked die, but otherwise keeping the pace at the same level (the pace that the players have forced upon themselves by spending all their reserve time prior to the last games).
That is, secure a minimum of reserve time, so the have time for the occasional cocked die, invalid move or whatever could happen.
If you instead extend the delay time, you change the pace of the entire game (and you have to extend it by a few seconds to make room for a lost die, etc.). That was not your goal in the first place, allowing players more time to consider each individual decision!
10 seconds of reserve time would do the job and not make room for a slower pace throughout the remainder of the match.
So, the rule matching this would simply state, that if a player has less than 10 seconds of reserve time prior to the beginning of any game, his/hers reserve time will then be set to 10 seconds.
