As a newcomer to ABT events and clocks, I am perhaps unqualified to have a strong opinion. It is my sense, however, that the 12-second delay is too short, and that too many matches end because of time outs. Another observation is that reserve time should not be a linear function of match length. Current practice is to award 2 minutes per point linearly, so that a 13-point match has a 26-minute reserve, while 5-point match gets only 10. I think that the shorter matches should get an extra couple of minutes. Mike
