Christian, in your opinion what is a fair rake structure?

Considering the winner pays the rake for both players - what percentage should the rake be?

What is the most a player should pay for a match or money game? For example, if the rake is, let's just use 5% as a number, and if the wager is $500 per player = $1,000 total money at stake, charging 5% of $1,000 is $50 and is way too much in my opinion, so what should the maximum rake be on a game or match?
