What does it take to be successful?

1) From the credibility of the person/site organisation that recommended the particular server. How did they found out? 2) By how they do NOT have to download software in order to play. 3) What kind of interaction players can have with other users. PM, chat in the lobby, etc. 4) Level of politeness of the players there, though you cannot really do anything about it. 5) I do not really believe that anyone cares about how the site will welcome him, unless there is a person available to reply to his questions, or guide him as he enters the site for the first time. If we are talking about a text welcome from the site, then at least personally would not like it. I would welcome a quick video though telling me quickly how to access everything in the site. But I would keep it just under 1 min. Personally I would probably close the video if it exceeded 1 min and discover the rest on my own. 6) Winning animations and sounds can enhance the playing experience, especially if we talk about cash playing. Try to make the sounds and the animations addictive. Do not add sounds for the loosing side, it will only irritate. 7) Try using different and interesting sounds for the dices. I am bored to death hearing all the time the same sound. If it is a 3d board then interesting animations of the dices coming in, could help as well. 8) If it does not have ads then it is better. 9) How fast and easy is it to get into a game and start playing with someone YOU WANT TO PLAY. That certainly would be much better. The least I can think is trying the opposite. A blocking list that allows the player to avoid/not receive messages from people he does not want to play. If you have an automatic match option, then make sure that people do not play randomly with people in their blocking list. Maybe a filter that would allow you to see people you might want to play. Maybe based on country? Anyway moving on... 10) Stability and simplicity of all the processes. Probably you include this in no 6. 11) Variety of types of play available (nackgammon, hyppergammon), maybe be able to play a proposition. What types of tournaments does the site offer, how many people come to the tournaments and how often they happen. 12) The traffic of the server, obviously the more people it has the better. 13) Just because you mention the speed of withdrawal, let me tell you, as you probably know, that most sites have different requirements to deposit and to withdraw money. This is really pissing everyone I know that tried to withdraw money for the first time and then found out that he has to submit extra documents in order to withdraw. So I would propose at least to try and make it clear and prepare the player for it. 14) Keep doing promotions, but do not send emails about them, unless the player asks specifically to receive such mails.
