Reasons to go to LA

1) This event can expect about 60 players and 1st place pays 40% of that number of ABT points while 2nd place and 1st conso pay 20%. If you win the event the ABT title is your's unless Richard or Ray do extremely well. If you finish 2nd or win conso, you'll be 2nd or 3rd in ABT.

I know ABT points don't matter to you, but having a decent chance to win the ABT title is not something the occurs every year...so ...??

2) You're single and independent and will have fun playing and discussing BG with the players there and this event has a nice 32 player Masters as well.

3) They have poker clubs in LA. I know you like playing online, but isn't it fun to BBQ some donks in person ? ..if you get quickly blasted out of the BG T, LA isn't that far from Vegas if you want to blow off some steam and party a bit while still gambling.

4) The weather in 2 weeks will certainly be better in LA than Columbus !

A reason I am NOT going is that the T is not held at a hotel so we have to stay someplace different, maybe a mile or so away. This is a pain in the ass for me, since I like to sleep LATE and also to relax in my room in between rounds, after dinner etc as time permits. That being said, if I was in contention for this year's ABT title (1st not 3rd is what matters to me) I'd be there taking my shot.
