Maybe you realize this already but it is not clear that you do since you seem to be talking a lot about what you aim to memorize: The bigger gain from learning the 3rd roll positions (or 2nd or first) is not that you avoid errors on specific 3rd roll positions but that you learn ideas that can be applicable to many different positions. For example if you see a position where making an anchor is tied with making an inner board point that is a reference position for that type of decision. If you just memorize that slotting is correct for 54S 21 without noting the size of the error and seeing relevant concepts there as duplication and not splitting in front of stacks you are not getting that much benefit from your efforts.
