GNUbg vs XG as a learning tool update

Have you tried to write scripts to automate simulations with XG? Does XG run on Unix/Linux arm systems? For people who prefer to use only GPL software (and there are many) do you have a GPL'ed version of XG. Is the source code for XG available? Can you modify XG if you don't like a feature? Can you add a feature? Can you easily turn XG into a bot for use on servers like FIBS? Can you easily integrate XG into other software? Can you recompile XG yourself on an unsupported platform?

Of course I will note some personal bias, and a hint of sarcasm in this remark.
