So, Jason, is there a noticeable difference in playing time between BGOnline and USBGF?

Yes, there is. Neil, the opponent in the USBGF OLM, being a human, cannot reply instantly like XG can.

I would think your proposal 3 would slow things down even more.

No doubt. So you have to decide if playing against a human or humans would be worth it.
