Number of games to establish two players have equal skill

In Response To: Number of games to establish two players have equal skill (leobueno)

No fixed number of trials will be able to distinguish between the following two cases:

1. A and B have exactly equal skill.

2. A and B differ in skill by an infinitesimally tiny amount.

At minimum, you need to set a threshold for how close counts as "equal."
