For money, backgammons are very significant. Volunteering a blot still has to be absurd. 4/2(4), bearing no checkers, must also be horrible.

Among the other three plays, if my DMP analysis is correct, the number of checkers borne off varies inversely with safety, so there's some balancing of wins with backgammons. Not sure about the right tradeoff, but I'd lean towards 4/off 2/off(2) since I think it's close to 4/off(2) at DMP and may win enough extra backgammons to compensate.
