White is just a shake away from leaping out into a basically even race, after which the recube will be particularly efficient for her. So, the take seems clear and I'd be reluctant to cube here.
Are we looking at the same position? (that's supposed to be good natured ribbing ;-)
White is down 4 pips and not on roll. This translates to effectively at least 8 pips in a race to 99. That means even if White manages to hop out and not get hit after hopping out, he's losing the race. I'm not sure if you were referring to the score making the recubes efficient or what....
The issue is White doesn't always get a chance to roll a 5 nor when he does is he given it automatically. Right away there are powerful rolls such as [22 33 44 66 64] that put him on the bar against a 5 point board. On top of that, if White doesn't escape immediately, it is likely Blue will bring more diversified builders into the attacking zone. Next turn and the turn after that and the turn after that it becomes more and more likely as White doesn't escape that he'll be attacked.
This seemed like an easy pass to me even at the score.
