Wide screen / silly 3D

In Response To: Question to those using XG in 2D (KenB)

My Preference is 3D - Wide Screen because that is how a board looks when I am playing live.

I've been using 2D mode, until few days ago when Xavier told me I could use 3D top view as a higher-resolution solution.

Until then I've been avoiding 3D. After I changed to 3D, I tried all preset camera angles and found out 'Wide screen' is pretty good in simulating live-board view.

I generally find 3d mode silly. A backgammon position is an abstraction to me, not a scene from a movie.

I used to find it silly too and that's why I used 2D until now. But when you turn all animations off, it is not that bad!
