Thanks for pointing to the excellent answer you gave to Chase in that other thread. I missed that, and quite a lot that has gone down here in the last few months, because I haven't been hanging around here much lately. My bad!

I was thinking more of actual performance rather than the learning process, but you are right that in both music and backgammon, we may find we have sticking points, particular concepts that we understand intellectually but don't seem to get quite right when it matters in the moment.
