For the first time this (short) game I'm tempted by an inefficient looking resulting position. Put yourself in White's shoes -- what are its priorities? 1) Make the 5-point; 2) make an advanced anchor. It may be able to accomplish one of these (although not guaranteed) but very unlikely both. We put ourselves in best position to take advantage of the resulting (/continued) weakness by grabbing the 4-point now.

Sometimes you have to live with TMP, but along with the aversion to getting into it in the first place is the awareness that once you're in it you want to get out of it ASAP.
