In order to play consistently under 2.0 the player will have to be making many of the same mistakes that XG makes, and that is one of the reasons I don't believe it is likely. I don't know if it will be one year or 10 years, but surely we will find that XG is wrong on several plays it now considers correct, and when you are playing that closely to "perfection" you will also have to be "imperfect" in the same ways the computer is.

Also, while I believe the "median" can be under 2.0, I think the average will never be that low because one or two bad plays can destroy the entire average, and no human can prevent that from happening.
