Thank you DGArnold,for posting the Wikipedia article.After meeting Stu that June day in 1984,I moved to Vegas in January of 86'.Living there for the next twenty four years,until moving back home to Cape Cod in 09'.A fair amount of what was written,I was aware of.Though I still found out many things,from the article.A couple of things I recall about Stu were first,for 1984 backgammon his level of play was strong,though he hadn't put that much effort into learning the game.Secondly being in his presence,one could sense an energy unlike few people I've ever known.Please no cocaine jokes,he was magic without it!Losing him to drugs,first an foremost was a terrible loss to his family and friends,an of course to the "Kid" himself.For if he was still alive today,he'd be turning sixty an surely looked upon as the greatest card player of all time,an with that would have come the glory and the fame,he so richly deserved.I recall the day he died at that cheap motel,at the far end of the strip,so very sad!Today the world of poker has many gifted players,but there's no one even close to being half as good as the Kid...
