I admit, though, that I'm puzzled why Stick isn't happy with the proctoring setup I suggested.

It is not what I'm most used to doing. I sit here and I play on my computer or against XG all day every day. I am not naive enough to think that I am not more comfortable staring at a XG screen than on a live board. You also get into me having to wait for the proctor to play, for rolls to come out, for him to move. It's an unwanted nuisance. It's a completely different rhythm and we're talking about playing something other people see as impossible. I'm not going to change the set up entirely and try to do it.

I even have a direction preference and would not play the opposite direction for this bet though live play I will play either direction.

Also, in neither of these posts did I say I currently could play under a 2. Paul's quote was out of context and thanks for noting that. I only see it as easily possible whereas others see it as near impossible.
