His paper mentions that if there is at least 1 checker on the acepoint and at least 4 points are made, subtract 1 pip. So the EPC estimates I get are 18.6 and 17.4.

Not sure if this next part is totally valid, but I just try to use the #rolls-3 rule from bootcamp. Number Rolls ~ 18.6/7=2.7 rolls

2.7-3=-.3

POLT=18.6-.3=18.3

Estimate for the trailer EPC is 17.4, so he is ~ 1 pip shy of POLT. That gets me to borderline redub...accurate enough for me at this point.
