You don't need a risk/reward calc to determine whether it's a take when the cube is match decisive. Here in your diagram, thinks are very simple. If White passes he wins the match 40% from a score of 4-5 playing to 7. You win this game much less than that.

At 3-3 if you pass you win the match 33% so again this is a BIG pass.

At 4-4 if you pass you win the match 25% so you do better to take.
